Optimizing Aerodynamics and Battery Performance of Electric Cargo Scooter Platform at QARGOS

Presentation Slides

Session Abstract

This session will explore the structural & thermal design challenges of electric vehicle batteries. This a crucial consideration for both safety and vehicle performance. In electric scooters, batteries must withstand vibrations, impacts and drops, while also managing thermal challenges from intense duty cycles. Physical tests can be costly and time-consuming, leading to safe but non optimal design solutions. By adopting SIMULIA simulation capabilities on 3DEXPERIENCE Platform, Qargos analyzed battery pack structural integrity of their electric scooter for vibration, shock & drop tests, as per AIS156 standards. Resulting in a faster time to market, improved performance and design confidence.
