Session Abstract

This presentation will explore how SOLIDWORKS Surface modeling will improve your overall mechanical engineering process from development to detail engineering. We will go through surface modeling techniques and show what is possible: 1) How to use the surface modeling functionalities. 2) How to use master modeling techniques. 3) How to create complex shapes/corners in Sheetmetal. 4) How to create complex structures in weldments. In the second part of the session, we will project the techniques of an end-to-end mechanical engineering process, from ideation to development to detail engineering. Adopting surface modeling in your mechanical engineering process will: 1) Help you create complex sheet metal and weldments assemblies faster. 2) Streamline and enhance your end-to-end mechanical engineering process. 3. Give you the tools to solve complex shapes faster and more easily.
