Context Clues: Understanding In-Context Modeling - IC694141

This presentation will review the basics of modeling part features within the context of an assembly, how to manage the relationships, and how to remove the references when you are ready. Attendees of all skill levels will benefit from exposure to the fundamentals of in-context modeling. So, why is this helpful? In-context modeling, sometimes referred to as ‘top-down’ modeling, is a powerful method for creating features in a part or assembly that directly reference the features of another. It is the most direct way to ensure alignment and fit between component geometry. Applications range from simply transferring holes between parts to designing an intricate fixture. It may seem complex, but with a better understanding of how references are created and controlled, modeling in-context features can be a huge time saver. Join Chris as he breaks down this advanced topic into easy-to-follow steps that will inspire you to take advantage of the benefits of in-context modeling.
