In this post, you will find useful information on how to get started with the installation of SOLIDWORKS Connected.
Prerequisites
- Hardware and software requirements, and certified workstations are available here. You can also use the Cloud Eligibility Checker to see if your system is compatible.
You can install and run SOLIDWORKS Connected on consumer systems that are not compatible, namely systems that do not have professional graphics cards (NVIDIA Quadro / NVIDIA RTX Series, AMD Radeon™ PRO). However, SOLIDWORKS Connected is optimized for Windows® 10 workstations and professional laptops.
- SOLIDWORKS Connected requires a 15.5 GB of disk space.
Notes
- On non-Windows® systems like macOS, iOS, iPadOS, Chrome OS, or Android, you do not see the 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS role in the Compass. SOLIDWORKS Connected is only supported on Windows. On these systems you can only use browser-based apps, like SOLIDWORKS xDesign.
- You cannot install the same major version of SOLIDWORKS Desktop and SOLIDWORKS Connected on the same computer. For example, SOLIDWORKS Connected R2022x cannot be installed on the same computer as SOLIDWORKS Desktop 2022. You can older versions of SOLIDWORKS Desktop alongside SOLIDWORKS Connected R2022x.
