Introduction
The Pre-Sales best practices have laid the foundation for a smooth "Order to Activation" experience for both your customer and your team.
By now, you should have gathered critical information about your customer and gotten them excited to try and use Cloud Services.
The next steps are as critical to offer a smooth early onboarding experience to your customer.
👉 As highlighted by the CRE Partner Bonus and Alignment wiki page, the target is 70% of user license (IFW) activation.
As per the alignment goal: The activation rate counts all clients who have purchased new licenses in 2023. The activation rate takes into account ALL of their new and existing user licenses.
This means that, in the example of a client who purchased 6 user licenses in 2022 and then purchased 4 additional user licenses in 2023, their activation rate will be calculated by looking at all their licenses (10) and how many users have been assigned to them. To meet the target, at least 7 of their 10 users should activate for this client to reach 70%.
As of July 8th, with the 2023x FD03 release, the CLOSA process has been updated to streamline the early onboarding experience. In the following wiki pages, we will refer to the new process. If you wish to understand what the changes are, please read this wiki section.
🗺️ Activation Process Overview
From the moment the customer places the order until all users access the platform, there are 5 phases (only 3 if there is only one user):
- Order Placement
- Platform Activation
- Admin reviews, accepts CLOSA, and activates
- Admin assigns roles and invites others to the platform
- Other users access the platform
For each of these phases, there are a number of steps that both your team and your customer will need to take.
👉 For reference, here is a link to the CRE Partner Bonus and Alignment wiki detailing the definition and the expectations of the "activation rate" of the platform. ⭐
