The straddle-type monorail system has been proven in many cities in Japan, the U.S., China, Singapore, and now has been decided to be used also in Egypt as one of the most effective solutions for transportation problems. The pre-installation of the systems used in it is not easy and requires the design of special carts to be used according to each project. In our company (Elsewedy Electric PSP), we have used SOLIDWORKS as the main design tool to develop the detailed design of the three types of carts (2.5 meter, 8 meter, and 16 meter) and have been fabricated in our workshop. We used SOLIDWORKS for generating a 3D model and GA drawings, SOLIDWORKS Static Simulation for the design of the structures, and SOLIDWORKS Visualize to develop high quality rendered pictures for the demonstration of how the carts are going to be used to our construction team.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
