Topology Optimization is a great tool to improve any product design by coming up with lighter, more efficient products. Today, we can not only optimize designs for subtractive manufacturing but also for additive manufacturing. With AM becoming more mainstream, topology optimization can even suggest totally new designs that would be impossible to manufacture using traditional processes. Dassault Systèmes has a variety of solutions for topology optimization. In this presentation, we will review three solutions currently available to the CRE channel, namely the Function Driven Generative Designer role as part of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, Topology Studies module as part of SOLIDWORKS Simulation Professional desktop solution, and briefly TOSCA from SIMULIA.
