1198 - Innovative Mentoring for the Next Generation of Black Engineers

In 1966, a black engineer named McKinley Thomas Jr. contributed to the design of the Ford Bronco. He was the first black engineer to be hired at Ford Motor Company. Stories like this are not widely talked about even in the black community, but they should be. During this session, I will discuss my answer to the query of why black children need to be introduced to engineering concepts at an early age and my plan to reach them.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
