The risk calculation for the Workers inside EWD is done using established norms.
EN-1005-03 an EN-1005-4 are the main norm on which EWD is relying for its risk assessment.
These two norms give a risk level considering the joint load and joint angle.
So why this panel with those parameters ?
EN-1005 norms doesn't only consider joint load of angle. It also considesr the task duration and frequency for an accurate risk assessment. You can those information to EWD with this panel:
The parameters that can be changes are the following:
- The task frequency: How many time is the action perform?
- Task time: How long does the task take?
- Motion speed: Is the action fast with a contractive movements?
- Work hours: How long is the task perform? 8 hours? 2 hours? 1 hour? ...
Changing these parameters can modify the risk level for the worker.
By default the parameters are set to the ideal condition for a worker: the works as a low frequency, short task time, slow speed and is not perform all day long.
