In this lesson:
Vision window
On the left of the percentile icons, there is a button with glasses inside it.
By clicking on it, you will be able to visualize the vision of the manikin in 3D.
Task specification
On the right of the manikin vision button, there is the task specificationbutton. By clicking, on it you will be able to see the task parameters:
- The object weight
- Task frequency
- Task time
- Motion speed
- Work hours per day
Those parameters are following EN-1005-03 standard.
When you are not editing a worker task, you cannot modify those parameters. To go into the edition mode of a task, you can click on the edit button of the Worker Task.
Edit task parameters
Then you will be able to see the task parameters:
Task frequency
Changing the task frequency may need to recalculate the posture. If it is the case this panel will appear to tell you to relaunch a posture calculation. In this case you will just have to click on the preview button of the Worker task panel. The other parameters of the task (Task time, Motion speed, Work hours per day) don't need a posture recalculation. When you change them, the risk for the workers is automatically recalculated.
Worker hours per day
Changing the work hours per day for one worker task will also change it for the other worker task under the same general system. Because the application is considering that there is one worker by general system.
Default task parameters
The default parameters used at the worker task creation are considering an optimal task. That means the app is considering that :
- Task frequency is low
- Task time is short
- Motion speed is slow
- Work hours per day limited
Object weight
The object weight can be changed on the worker task panel directly
Modifying an object weight in a worker task will affect all the worker tasks using this object.
Status panel
On the right side of EWD app, you will find the Status Panel:
This panel gives you an overview of the workstation or production you are working on.The worker task display on the status panel depends on the node you have selected in the general system.
Task summary panel
When you click on one of the risk level icons of the status panel, the Task Summary Panel will open.
This will rank and separate worker tasks by risk levels. If you click on one of the worker tasks, the environment will synchronize to show you the worker task. If you double click on the worker task, you directly go to the edition mode and you will able to modify the worker task.
Value Added and Non Value Added (VA/NVA)
The task summary panel is divided in 2 tabs: "Value Added" and "Non Value Added". And the status panel contains an "efficiency" section.
This divides the worker task into the 2 categories of "Value Added" and "Non Value Added". The worker tasks are put on one of the categories depending on the action verb of the sentence.
For example, a task of "getting a part from a bin" is non value added because the part is not added to the product.
On the other hand, a task of "assembling a part on the assembly" is value added because the part is put on the product.
