For many years CATIA Magic has had the ability to do basic units based on the ISO-80000 libraries; however, more recently in 24x live conversion was added to simulations making it more user friendly. In this post, we will discuss how to add the ISO-80000 library to your project, apply existing units, create custom units, and automatically convert units using simulation toolkit.
This post started as a response to the community question: https://r1132100503382-eu1-3dswym.3dexperience.3ds.com/community/swym:prd:R1132100503382:community:4GJPS8QmTuC4wF8BSLitkw?content=swym:prd:R1132100503382:communitypost:xmvzT9XkTxOeBnNTD1PzJw
In this question, it is asked how to create a custom unit for g/cm3. We start by using the documentation:
Note: version 21xR1HF1 was used for the first portion of the demonstration to match the community users version
After we create the custom units, we dive into how to do live unit conversion in 24x. Documentation link here.
