User Group

Automated Groups

The idea of automated groups is to compute the members of the groups automatically based on a specification. Currently, the specification permits to describe members having given business roles (defined and managed in ENOVIA 3DWorkforce Management) and/or business skills (defined in ENOVIA 3DWorkforce Management and managed by users in their Platform Profile).

Therefore, whenever a person changes roles inside the company or acquires new skills, this is automatically taken into account in User Groups service and consequently in all services consuming automated groups.

The capability to create Automated groups is restricted to a dedicated responsibility (Automated Group Creator), which can only be granted by a platform administrator via the “User Groups Control Center” App.

A monitoring tab has been added for automated Groups in the “Users Group Control Center” Application : This new tab allows administrators to monitor all the automated groups, and in particular the ability to define their own schedule for updating the groups automatically.

Support The Export of Large Number of Groups

The process of exporting user groups is now more efficient. Users can initiate an export task without the user interface becoming non-interactive. This improvement is particularly beneficial when dealing with a large number of groups, as the export task can run in the background without affecting the user’s ability to continue working within the App.

In addition to the general improvements in the export process, we have introduced a new functionality that allows users to export the selected groups into a single CSV file. This feature simplifies the export process by consolidating all of the selected groups into one file, making it easier to manage and share.

However, it is important to note that because all the data is consolidated into a single CSV file, this exported file may not be compatible with the re-import function.

Please also note that a new “activity” icon has been added to the toolbar, enabling users to track the progress and status of their export tasks. Clicking on this icon launches a panel (Activity Viewer) that provides real-time updates for the export process to the end-users. This panel permits also to download the zip file, once the export finished.
