What it does
When you write an idea in a community, AURA looks for ideas that already exist while you draft. A Similar ideas panel appears at the bottom of the editor, with a link to each match. If someone already proposed what you had in mind, you can open their idea and add your like or your comment there, instead of creating a second version of the same thing. One idea with visible support behind it carries further than several competing versions
See: Surface existing answers as you write a question, for how this works on questions.
How to do it
- Open a community and create a new Idea.
- Write your idea. AURA works in the background while you type.
- Check the Similar ideas panel at the bottom of the editor. Each entry links straight to the existing idea.
- Publish your idea if it is genuinely new, or add your thinking to the existing one instead.
Example idea
| "New floor mat for the anniversary" |
Tips
- AURA matches on meaning, not exact wording. In the example above, one short line about a floor mat surfaced an idea titled "Limited-Edition Commemorative Floor Mats".
- Found something close but not identical? Say so in your description, a line like "this builds on [idea]" tells reviewers where yours is different. Or skip the new idea and put your input in the comments of the original.
- Close the panel with the X if it gets in your way. It does not stop you from publishing.
