Functional Value

Kanban Visualization

You can use this visualization to show results in boards by dimensions. For example, if the dimension is country, each column shows a specific country.

Benefits: This new visualization provides you with another display of results.

This feature is available only if you have an appropriate role.

This visualization is very similar to the Result List visualization for its configuration.

Button Visualization

You can use this visualization to add simple buttons in your screens. These buttons can start actions or display tooltips only.

Benefits: This new visualization lets you add buttons with or without actions, and gives you another tool to configure the Data Perspective UI.

This feature is available only if you have an appropriate role.

KPI Visualization: Value Click Effects

You can define on-click effects for the KPI value (by clicking the number, not on the card).

Benefits: With these effects, you can filter the view or navigate to another page in one click.

This feature is available only if you have an appropriate role.

The new Apply local filters effect applies the Local filters defined in the  Data tab to the chosen filter scope. It adds these filters to the filters already applied (it does not override them).

Color Washing: Enable Transparency Option

A new Enable transparency option has been added to enable transparency for all the 3D parts in an assembly that do not have associated colors in the chart.

Benefits: This feature enhances the transparency display for assembly parts that are not shown in the chart.

This feature is available only if you have an appropriate role.

Pinpoint in 3D: Support of 3D Clustering Mode

Now, when you add Pinpoint in 3D effects on your visualizations, Data Perspective Studio activates the clustering mode for the display of Points of Interest (POI) on 3D objects in 3D Navigate. The number of POIs grouped in the cluster appears in a bubble on top of the pin.

Benefits: The clustering mode is now activated for all POI effects launched by Data Perspective Studio visualizations.

This feature is available only if you have an appropriate role.

In 3D Navigate, you can click  Deactivate clustering in the Layers panel, if you do not want to see the default POI clustering.

Refine Panel and Active Filters Visualizations: Select the UI Component to Filter Data

You can now select the UI component that will allow users to filter out data.

Benefits: This feature gives you more UI capabilities to filter out data. You no longer have to use a predefined component, but can choose the component that best suits your needs.

This feature is available only if you have an appropriate role.

The available components depend on the selected dimension and the type of value that it contains (Single Value Data, Multivalued Data, Range, Tree, or Date Picker).

In the following example, the blue rectangle shows date inputs to select dates, while the red rectangle shows a list to select multiple dates.

WARNING: The interaction between the date selections in the 6WTags and the Refine Panel visualization in Data Perspective has been updated:

  1. In 2023x.FD04, a date filter added from 6WTags is considered as a date range. As a result, these filters are also visible from the Refine Panel, which can handle date ranges.
  2. In 2024x.GA, a date filter added from 6WTags is considered as a single date point. As a result, these filters are no longer visible from the RefinePanel, since they can only handle ranges for the moment. Yet, this update will help to support multiple date point selections from 6WTags in the future.

Table Visualization: Use Hierarchical Dimensions to Navigate in a Tree View

WARNING: This feature has been removed from release 2024x.GA. It will be available in a future release.

You can now choose the Tree mode to show the content of a hierarchical dimension.

Benefits: This feature gives you more control on the display of your table columns. Use it for the display of a product structure (BOM) in your table.

This feature is available only if you have an appropriate role.

In Tree mode, you can browse the hierarchy of assemblies and parts and see information about each hierarchical level in other columns.

Size of Inputs and Buttons Vary in Desktop and Touchscreen Views

In the desktop view, you can now see most inputs and buttons with standard desktop dimension (height=24px). The only exceptions apply to tabs and breadcrumbs (height=16px).

Benefits: This makes the UI more compact in desktop view.

This feature is available only if you have an appropriate role.

Before this enhancement, inputs and buttons were displayed in touchscreen view (height=38px) whatever the environment.
