Functional Value

Data model and UEx capability to create and manage Raw Material specifications (physical product subtype). Association of a Manufacturing Equivalent item. Create and associate a manufacturing item to indicate the plants manufacturing or using the item. Capability to indicate a physical product must be made from another physical product or a raw material.

User Experience Value

Specification managers can now create and manage Raw Material specifications. Raw Materials can then be added with a "Make From" indication within the new multi-level Product Definition screen. Additionally specification managers can now indicate manufacturer equivalents and manufacturing plants on a specification.
