Work under is enforced (with either an Evolution or a Change Action) when authoring in a configured structure. 

User Experience Value

In a configured structure, all modifications (including detachments) must be performed in Work Under authoring mode to avoid errors and maintain integrity. This approach ensures that modifications are applied within the correct effectivity context and prevents inconsistencies in the structure.

Activation through Console Parameters

Ensure the Parameterized Console option "Force Work Under for Configured Structure" is enabled to enforce this behavior 

Forcing work under

If enabled, performing a structure modification without Work Under Evolution authoring mode will trigger an error message and prevent executing the modification. 

As soon as the user switches to Work Under Evolution authoring mode, the operation can be completed successfully.
