Skip welds are a series of intermittent welds created along a seam or segment. Traditionally, separate trajectories need to be created which result in many entries. The new Skip Weld function creates multiple welds along a seam with a single command. This cuts programming time in half.
User Experience Value
Cuts development time in half when programming multiple arc welds along the same seam
When users perform the tool feasibility the user may create 2D sections at various instances to accurately define the robot and tool positions with respect to the surrounding tools. This process has been greatly simplified with the Generate 2D Section functionality which is now contained within the Jog panel. Users can more easily validate the robot and tool positions under multiple conditions. Improvements to the Tag model has provided dramatic improvements when many Tags are in the session, particularly when the tags are attached to an object in motion; for example while visualizing hundreds of Tag points in Robot Arc Trajectories that are attached to a part being moved by a rotating fixture in the simulation.
