ICEM Design eXperience scope delivers the full topological scope of surfacing modeling, bringing a whole new area of innovation in modeling methods with nurbs & beziers. Product Perception eXperience now benefits from the same shaders for technical or styling reviews
User Experience Value
creation tools are improved to make User Interface more productive using multiple faces topologies
Surface Analysis: Display Modes
If you have a role containing a CATIA Design surface modeling app, a flyout dedicated to assigning shading options to surfaces is available in the Perception Experience section of the action bar.
Benefits: Surface analysis capabilities make design reviews more efficient.
The new commands let you analyze the quality of surfaces designed with ICEM Design Experience in the context of a global car assembly, for example, for Class A quality validation. In particular, you can activate some of the ICEM Design Experience shade display modes while leveraging the Product Perception Experience variant system. Also, you can use display modes from the 3D work area or when using Compare. Modifying Control Points of Multi-Cell Elements
You can use the sculpting tool Modify Control Points to sculpt multi-cell curves and surfaces.
Benefits: The support of multi-cell control point modification facilitates the modeling process and increases your productivity. Automatic Join for OmniShape Supports
For an OmniShape input curve or edge, you can select multiple support surfaces (). From the selected elements, a join is created automatically ().
Benefits: The enhancement simplifies and facilitates the modeling process by eliminating the need to create joins manually.
The support surfaces must meet the required G0 continuity tolerance. Creating Lattice Boxes
You can create a simple faceless mesh defined with vertices and edges and dedicated to manipulation. From the Sketch & Shape section of the action bar, tap Lattice Box Creation .
Benefits: You can simplify the modification process for complex geometry using a customized box. You can also precisely control modifications to fit specific requirements. Creating Box Deformers
You can create a box deformer by associating a lattice or a lattice box to an object. In the Constraints tab, tap Box Deformer .
Benefits: You can modify a complex shape with a simple box thanks to this new constraint.
