3DSearch | Indexing

This section covers frequent 3DSearch issues and Indexing questions. predominantly search problems can occur after every upgrade (Ex: FD01 to FD02) due to the browser cookies in web platform and desktop app cache in desktop apps. 

 

If you are facing search issues it is always good to clear your browser cache and desktop app cache.

3DSearch

Search does not yield any results "search service could not complete your request"

Probable Cause: 

  • This issue could occur due to the browser cache, or if the search service is down at that instance.

Probable Solution:

  • Clear browser cache or check in incognito window
  • Check 3DS website for service interruption, Click here 
  • Submit a SR if above options does not solve the problem.

 

Desktop App Search keeps on loading and does not yield any results, "Please wait while search is loading"

Probable Cause:

  • This issue can occur after 3DEXPERIENCE Platform is upgraded, Ex: R2024x.GA to R2024x.FD01
  • The desktop cache from the older version can disrupt the desktop app search.

Probable Solution:

  • Clear desktop app cache after every upgrade as a best practice.

3DSearch Indexing

Indexing timestamp does not show when the last indexing was performed, timestamp is old

Probable Cause and explanation:

  • The last indexing timestamp is updated every time data is created or modified on the tenant.
  • The indexing starts and updates the timestamp. If not, the timestamp remains as is, indicating the last index generation.
  • Please confirm if any data was created or modified after the indexing time. If not, then this is working as expected. It is also mentioned in the user assistance. Click here
  • If issue still persists, please submit a SR for further analysis.
