Enhanced app: 3DDashboard

A brand new user experience with 3DDashboard

R2020x FD01 introduces the new dashboard list menu.

To access your dashboards, you will need to open the new side panel using the following highlighted menu. It also automatically opens when you connect to 3DDashboard.

It will open the new dashboard list side panel, that can remain open while you're working on your dashboards.

Finally, to close the dashboard list side panel, click on the following highlighted menu.

Get to your dashboard in one click

Noticed the Favorite Dashboards section on this menu? Yes, this highly requested feature is now available. You can drag and drop your frequently used dashboards in this section and even organize them. The dashboards in the My Dashboards section remains listed in alphabetical order.

Did you or someone else ever deleted an important dashboard by mistake?

If this ever happened to you along with the frustration of losing precious data and having to rebuild everything from scratch, you will love the dashboard Recycle Bin.

When an owner deletes a dashboard, and forgets to click the 5 seconds "Click to undo" link, all owners are now able to restore the deleted dashboard using the dashboard Recycle Bin*. When restored, the dashboard is again available to all the original members while keeping their access type. A deleted dashboard remains in the Recycle Bin for 30 days.

*Please note the dashboard Recycle Bin doesn't allow to restore dashboard tabs or widgets.

If there is a new dashboard menu, what's behind the one we were used to?

On the right side of the displayed dashboard name, you still have a menu. This one, now only includes the actions related to the displayed dashboard.

Enhancement: 6WTags

Let's assume you have access to a general operation dashboard to pilot your 3DSwym community feeds.

Every time you are using this dashboard, you need to tag filter it before you can start reviewing your KPIs.

Not anymore! You can now have a persistent tag on a tab of your operation dashboard using the Pin Tag feature. The persistency only applies to the displayed tab. If you pin a tag on a tab of a shared dashboard, this persistency setting is only applicable for yourself and doesn't apply to the other members of the dashboard.

Enhanced app: 3DSwym

Request actions directly within communities or conversations with WeDos

WeDos provide an intuitive user experience for assigning simple tasks to community or conversation members. You can collaborate and track the WeDos directly using either 3DSwym or Collaborative Tasks. If a WeDo is created within a community, the name of that community will be visible on the task in Collaborative Tasks.

Example of WeDo and its corresponding task in Collaborative Tasks

Give a Topic to your conversation

When you start a conversation with other people, you can specify a Topic to reveal and focus on the current discussion subject. It is then easier to find the conversations, as you can search for the topic instead of remembering with whom you discussed this topic.

Additionally, if you create a WeDo in conversation with a Topic, the Topic will be visible as the Community attribute in the corresponding task available in Collaborative Tasks. If you don't specify any Topic to your conversation, the task will display conversation members.

New User Experience with the Ideas pipeline

The Ideas pipeline has been completely redesigned. You can now find on the same page, the pipeline, the list of all the ideas sorted from the newest to the oldest. Through this list, you can check - at a glance - the maturity status and the social interactions, and even filter the ideas by the status label and by tags.

A better visibility of your community Wiki Tree

In your community, when you filter content on Wiki pages, the Wiki Tree section is now using the full height of the Right-hand side panel. With this extra space, you can easily browse your Wiki Tree without scrolling.

Enhanced app: 3DDrive

New direct link to file and folder

How long have you been waiting for this one? The wait is over, you can now share a direct link to a 3DDrive content (file or folder). When shared with someone else, the link opens the 3DDrive widget directly on the shared content. Don't forget to add the members to you content before sharing to them the direct link.

Download folders with content of subfolders

Previously, when downloading a 3DDrive folder, you were downloading a zip file with only files available at the root of this folder. Now you also have the option to download all contents with their subfolders.

Persist the 3DDrive navigation in a dashboard

You are using 3DDrive to display within the app, contents or files in your dashboard? You can now persist the drive navigation in your dashboard using the preferences of the 3DDrive widget.

Once you have pinned the current navigation, if you or an other member of the dashboard navigates away from the displayed content or folder, when the dashboard is reloaded, the original pinned navigation is displayed. Other owners or contributors of a dashboard can pin a different navigation.

New Creator attribute for file and folder

If you share a folder of your 3DDrive with "Can edit" rights to a colleague and you upload a file to it, you will be the Owner and the Creator of the file. If your colleague uploads a file to this shared folder, you will be the Owner of the file (because the file is in your drive) and your colleague will be the creator. The creator is the information visible on content tiles or thumbnails.

Easily identify the shared content of your drive

When browsing your drive, it is sometime difficult to know if a file or folder is shared with someone else. You can now easily identify the folders that are shared with the following visuals.

Do you know how much data you have in 3DDrive?

You now have visibility on the amount of storage used by your files hosted in 3DDrive.

Enhanced app: 3DSearch

The 3DSearch grid view has new capabilities. You can improve the 3DSearch results view with the "Is Wrap" support for columns. This can be set through the Settings of the 3DSearch results, and by selecting Manage grid view customization. From there you can also Pin a column to the Right-hand or to the Left-hand side of the grid view.

Enhanced app: 3DNotification

Do more when accepting or denying a member to join your private community

If you own a private community, you may receive request to join your community. Previously when accepting such request, the member would become by default a Contributor of your community. You can now accept the request and provide Author or Owner rights to you community directly through the Notification.

If you decide to deny the request, you can now provide an explanation for your decision.
