In 3DEXPERIENCE R2020x, 3DEXCITE is further enhancing its Marketing Content and Marketing Experience Creation, and users can now benefit from 5 roles.

3DEXCITE completes the holistic approach the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform takes from concept-to-consumer, from CAD data to marketing content. 3DEXCITE provides game-changing solutions from 3D artists and experience makers to marketing professionals and their agencies to optimize the marketing content creation process. By leveraging the CAD data, Marketers can create and contextualize content for end-consumer experiences. With an efficient and automated production workflow, users can produce interactive product experiences for multi-channel usage including VR and 2D high-resolution CG images to feed global product marketing campaigns.

Enhanced role: Marketing Promotion Artist

With 3DEXPERIENCE R2020x, the new Marketing Promotion Artist (DPA) role brings ready to use photorealistic rendering directly in your browser, literally to everyone. An easy to use and streamlined user experience assists users to go from design to a perfectly staged product. The scalable cloud compute infrastructure delivers professional marketing asset quality super-fast and even in large volume – and all this comes without any local hardware or cumbersome IT installation and administration.

Enhanced role: Marketing Experience Artist

With 3DEXPERIENCE R2020x, the marketing product definition (that is the physical product structure enriched for marketing processes) is now model based, so that marketing experiences can be created using the 3DEXPERIENCE Twin. This advances the promise of the holistic 3DEXPERIENCE Twin, which requires that all digital product representations leverage the same underlying model. One natural benefit here is full digital continuity from engineering to marketing on the configured product. As such, product configurations and product animations created in design and engineering are directly available in the Marketing Experience Artist role. This delivers better marketing assets, and minimizes the time to create amazing customer facing content. In addition, users can now detect design changes, and benefit from an assisted workflow to keep all experiences synchronized with product evolutions.

3DEXPERIENCE R2020x pushes the topic of visual excellence to the next level. The release enhances Physically Based Rendering (PBR) to ensure visual consistency for all marketing experiences (rendering in the web, real-time, VR and photorealistic images), directly from the single marketing product definition of the 3DEXPERIENCE twin.

Within the Marketing Content Artist (XCA) we further promote the capability of artists to create and share contents to streamline product staging (e.g. place it in an environment, with lighting and camera). For instance, ‘ambiences’ now provide realistic ready-to-use lighting and camera set ups. Reusing content, such as ambiences or material, harmonizes the look and feel of your marketing experiences.

Enhanced role: Marketing Model Processor

The Marketing Model Processor role (PPO) optimizes the geometry for best visual fidelity and performance of the final marketing experiences. With the release, the role leverages the ‘PLM filters’ capability of the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform to obtain quickly the marketing relevant product structure for that optimization.  So doing, PLM filters assists in capturing knowledge needed for this data preparation step, for repeatability and reuse. Additionally and subsequently, smart labels - with direct access to the product semantics (e.g. ‘parts smaller than 3 mm and created last month’) – allow to identify elements for further refinements. Also, a detailed reporting & profiling capability on the product structure and geometry complexity (e.g. reporting on number of triangles in different parts) assists the user to identify further potential optimizations.
