You can enable notifications on various events happening on the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform: For example
- An e-mail notification when someone publishes a post in a community
- Notifications in Chrome browser when someone likes your post
- Notifications in Chrome browser when someone replies to your question
To ensure that you do not miss all your important notifications, you need to configure your notifications' settings.
How to Activate web push notifications
Even if you are not working in the platform, you can be notified of every post, comment, or likes. While your browser is open, websites that have been granted permissions can send notifications to your browser and display them on the screen.
Enable notifications in Google Chrome
- Click on the padlock next to the platform's URL.
- Select "Allow" to allow notifications from this site.
Enable notifications in Firefox
- Click on the padlock next to the platform's URL.
- Click "Connection secure"
- Click "More information"
- In the Page Info window, click the "Permissions" tab.
- Under Send Notification, uncheck "Use Default" and select the option "Allow".
Customize your notification preferences
1. Access your 3DNotifications Center and select the "Settings" icon.
2. Depending on the content you wish to focus on, select the type of content to display their specific options
3. You can choose to:
- (De)Activate any type of content according to their related behaviors
- Select the type of notifications you would like to receive (Platform-based notifications, browser and/or emails) by clicking on the items.
Differences between the various Notifications
- Notifications center display a notification in the 3DNotification Center
- Notifications alert displays an alert in the top bar when the 3DNotification Center is closed.
- Notifications mail send an email to you.
- Notifications browser display a notification on the bottom right corner of your screen when you are not in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
Note: The Notification "Center" notifications cannot be deactivated
