What are 6W Tags

6WTags help to refine the search results in an intelligent and guided way, based on the 6W facets: 

• What (types of content)
• When (creation or update date)
• Who (role)
• Where
• How
• Why

You can add as many 6WTags as you need into your 3DSwym content (wiki, post, question, idea,...) so that anyone on the community can find content with the relevant search string quickly.

Types of tags

There are 2 types of tags:

• ‘Implicit’ tags are extracted automatically from the content itself, organized in groups, and not editable by users (ex. post author, creation date, number of comments…).
• ‘Explicit’ tags are user-defined (by the creator of the content or the moderator). They are in italics within the 6WTags panel and can be deleted by everyone.

Let's discover two methods to create your tag.

Method 1: While composing/editing SWYM Contents

1. While you are composing/editing your SWYM Content post/iQuestion/media/wiki page, you can add 6W Tag.
2. Type # followed by your new tag text, and select a tag category from the list.
3. Click on Publish to save your modifications.Your new tag is now effective!

For example : Two What tags are added to the following post by specifying the following keywords at the end of the post:

#3DEXPERIENCE + What Tag, #3DEXPERIENCE Getting Started + What tag.

Note:

The platform does not manage ‘explicit’ tags redundancy or mistakes, so take care to tag with appropriate and self-explanatory keyword to help users to find the content.​​​​​​

Method 2: Adding tag to any SWYM Content

1. Open the  SWYM post that you wish to tag
2. Click  6WTags in the top bar
3. In the 6WTags panel, select the category and type your new tag
4. Click Add Tag.
