I'm working on a project where I need to measure stresses due to thermal expansion. I have one part that's been milled away and replaced with weld material. Currently I have defined this with a surface extrude along the profile, then a split. I've tried running this as a thermal/static simulation in a few ways but I keep encountering errors. "Zero thickness geometry" is common, but I haven't found a way to fix this. How do I define these two bodies such that I don't encounter this error?
