Currently I am working on a flange analysis. Need to check the strength of the both flange while in operation. problem is in between them  there is a nylon gasket, which is used as a sealant. so my question is can I use the use nylon gasket properties in static analysis.Will it work Or do i have to go for non-linear anlysis.

I am not concern about how much deflection it would be for nylon gasket or what would happen to it?
