I am looking for information on the capabilities/limitations of Workgroup PDM, specifically the capabilities of each when working on my local drive instead of through a file server.

I would like to ste up our vault so that we can check SolidWorks files in and out but work on a local drive.  I was told that Workgroup PDM allows me to check a file in and out, but that I only have ownership of the file without moving it to my local drive.  I would need Enterprise to check out and move the file.

The intent of working on my local drive is to improve performance.
