Say we have a file that is in version 5 that we send off to a manufacturer. They come back and say they can make most of the changes we asked for except for a couple of places where, for whatever reason, they can’t/won't produce the geometry we modeled. We need to go back and revise version 2 in order to replace the difficult geometry; however, we don’t want to “Rollback” the file and lose the work we’ve already completed. My question is this… is there a way to work with version 2, make the changes needed, and save the file as version 6, without loosing versions 3-5 or the history? So far all I've found allows the user to open up an older version, make changes and save it as a new file, but it won't keep the history. We would like to keep the history and all of the versions if possible, but my guess is that saving an old version as the latest version of the same file while skipping over older versions, isn't possible.
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks.
