Work Flow with Design Tables

Over the last couple of months I've learned more about Design Tables than I thought I wanted or needed. Thanks in no small part to the contributors of this forum.

So I'm back with an question about work flow.

I typically have my part file open in SW.

I have the design table open in excel.

I make changes to the design table and/or the part file using the other as a reference.

I save the design table and close it in excel. I close the design table in excel because it seems to avoid some issues I've seen but this may just be my imagination.

My question is: What is the proper/best/preferred method to get the design table embedded in my part file to update?

I know if I close and reopen my part file it ask if I want to update the model to changes in the design table. This works but seems a bit tedious.

I can also delete and reinsert the design table in my part file. This also works but seems but seems like an odd way of doing it.

I interested in any thoughts on what work flow I should be following.

Thanks.
