Hi,
I am a new user, so thanks in advance for any help!
I am trying to model some parts that have wires that are bent at sharp angles.
When the wires are not bent so sharply, I can draw the complete path and then sweep a circle to get the desired result. (See attached).
For the sharply bent wires, I get the error "Sweep resulted in topologically invalid body" when I try to sweep the whole path.
The best that I am able to do at this point is to draw one segment of the wire at a time, and sweep just that segment. The problem is that
the resulting model ends up with a notch where the wire segments touch. (See attached)
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can either repair the notch or model the sharply bent wire in another way? (I need to keep the radius of the wire that I am using, so decreasing the radius would not be a viable solution).
Thanks!
Michelle
