As mentioned in another post, I'm in the process ofunpgrading to a new workstation. I've been following this forumpretty close while trying to educate myself on what to purchase.
One issue I'm having is the OS. It's pretty much a given that Iwant a 64-bit system but my IT department wants nothing to do withVista. However they are open to the idea of loading Win7RC with theidea of using my workstation as a "testbed" for the new OS.
For those of you who have loaded Win7: If I consider this option,is there anything I should be aware of? SolidWorksinstall/performance/support, video/printer driver issues, Office2007 compatability issues, stability, known bugs, etc? Basically, does it look like Microsoft has done their homework this time ordoes this look to be another Vista circus?
Worst case would be to order Vista64 and upgrade when Win7 isofficially released but it would be nice to skip this step.
Thanks!SolidworksAdministration
