This is kind of a two part question. I have the Windows 7 32bit RC loaded on my home computer and I pre-ordered windows 7 upgrade. Now is it possible to go from 32bit to 64bit? I have heard that you need to do a clean install and im fine doing that but I don't know how?

Part 2 is im trying to convince our IT guy to upgrade at least my CAD workstation to 7 (currently running vista x64). Has anyone used windows 7 in a work environment and found any significant improvements in SolidWorks performance?
