I, like drafting students all over, am considering an 'upgrade' to Windows 10 in the near future. I note with some consternation the debate over the workability of some of the other editions of SWX under this new O/S. Also like other students, I cannot afford to be without SWX - time and assignments wait for no man. Here's the \$64,000 question:
"What effect will upgrading to Windows 10 have on the operation of SolidWorks Student 2014-2015 on my PC?"
My machine is Intel QuadCore i5-3470 CPU @ 3.20GHz, 24 GB RAM, MS Windows 7 Home Premium v. 6.1 64-bit SP1.
It has a SAMSUNG SyncMaster 940BW+ VDU as Primary Screen and a SAMSUNG U28D590D VDU as the drafting board.
This is driven by an NVIDIA QUADRO K620 Video Card and RealTek High Definition Audio on Motherboard MSI B75MA-P45
I have Windows Security Essentials as Anti-virus with Memeo Backup Pro, and Skype all running in the background.
I have the latest version of the NVIDIA driver. Will that help?
