Does anyone know if SolidWorks 2015 will install on Server 2008 R2 at all?

The end of life notes released on SP4 say it will not install on Server 2008(R), which is not very clear. See below:

Attention SolidWorks Server Products Users

• The SolidWorks 2015 and SolidWorks Enterprise PDM 2015 server products, including the Network License Server, will not install on the Windows Server 2008 (R) operating system.
• SolidWorks Enterprise PDM 2015 will no longer support SQL Server 2005 or 2008. SQL Server 2008 R2 and 2012 are still supported. SQL Server 2014 will be supported and shipped with SolidWorks Enterprise PDM 2015.

Has anyone tried to install 2015 on Server 2008 R2 yet?
