I'm currently using a Quadro 2000 1GB graphics cards at work. When working on medium sized assemblies (~600 components), Solidworks (2016 SP3) can slow right down. It can get even worse when trying to put the assembly into a drawing & its nearly impossible to rotate the 3D model in a drawing view as its that bad; however, smaller assemblies are fine & its only larger assemblies that I struggle with.
My other PC specs are:
Windows 10 64bit
Xeon W3565 @ 3.2Ghz
16GB DDR3 Ram
30" Monitor @ 2560 x 1600 + 22" Monitor @ 1600 x 1200
I very rarely exceed 10GB Ram & I believe that the CPU is more than adequate. So, would it be the Graphics Card which is causing the bottle neck & would I see a significant improvement if I were to upgrade to a recently released Quadro M3000?
Thanks.
