I have Dell T5400, xeon (2.5GHz), FX 1700 system.
I am using this computer for a while with windows XP x32 and SolidWorks 2010 SP4 and 4 GB RAM.
Today, I added 8 GB more (total 12 GB) and our IT upgraded my computer to windows 7 x64 machine. Then, I installed SolidWorks 2010 sp4 (x64 version). I did punch holder test to see performance of my machine and I got 120 seconds. I was shocked and I restarted my machine and I did test again. I got 119 seconds. This is exactly same result I had with my initial system. How is this possible?
On the side note, I installed a graphics driver from solidworks website for windows vista machine as no graphics driver available for fx 1700 for windows 7. I don't know if this makes any difference or not.
Is there anything I am missing here or should I just trash my computer?
