Just recently get bored from Solidworks assembly restructure function-
Let's say we have
- an assembly as A, under A, there is A1 as subassembly;
- A has been mated with B via 5 constraints from A1;
Now, we restructure assembly A by promoting some parts from A1 into assembly A;
then the previous mates between A and B greyed out.
When editing the mates, B has no problem-we still can find the feature.
I have to work back on those mates 1 by 1 to find assembly A feature selection - surface, centre, etc...
****************************************************************************************************************************
My wondering here is -
All the mates between A and B are generated from A1 and B, the parts are still there after promoting;
Why all the mates get grey?
Is there a switch I missed out?
Best Regards,
Wayne
