I don't know about all of you, but I need to be mobile, myjob requires me to go and work at my customers site. So 3 years agoI bought a M70 for my Faro arm and a year later bought a M90 toreplace my desktop in hopes of getting 3 years out of my machine.Mainly due to high cost of it. I also looked at HP's mobileworkstations at the same time. From what I see HP's machines fromthat era are certified, but not my Dell's. I want to know why? Ibought the upgrade to the 2500 video card. I do not know how thecertification process works, Maybe Dell presents the machines toSolidWorks or maybe they do it together, I don't know. I know folksthat are running 2009 without any problems on the M90, so why isn'tit certified. What if SP2 fixes some problems but causes problemson the M90 and I call my VAR and they basically tell me to buy anew machine. I don't have \$3500 for a new laptop in my budget.
Haw many of you got cut from the SW approved list? I did noticedthat there are 42 pages of approved computers and graphics cardsfor 2008 if you list all of them and only 21 pages for 2009. Iwonder who is to blame here???
I would like to hear from you if you have run into the samesituation.SolidworksAdministration
