Why does the duration of use affects the total material energy consumed

Hello,

I am trying to do a sustainability analysis in SolidWorks, but I have the following problem:

If I increase the duration of use, the total energy consumed and the total energy for the material increases too. The design does not consume energy during use.

The increase in energy is about proportional to the increase in 'duration of use'. I decided the 'build to last' time to be equal to the duration of use.

Does someone know how this can be possible? If you build a product that does not use energy during use, the energy needed for the materials to build the product should not change if you use it ten or hundred years.
