Solidworks 2014 Premium

I made a 2D drawing template, just a plain sheet, no border or anything, setup some drawing layers, thats it

When I open the template, start sketching lines and curves, then when I go to dimension, I type in the dimension I wnat in the field, hit Enter, BOOM,

the drawing disappears and all I see is the Solidworks welcome screen and the Dimension PropertyManager. And the drawing wills tay gone until I hit the green check mark on the Dimension Property Manger box, then the drawing re-appears.

WTF?????

Ideas ?
