I am starting to set up Design Checker. I am using SolidWorks 2013. I created a new part using one of my templates. I then used the Learn Checks Wizard to create a check file based on my template. I then edited the checks to only check for a few things. One of the things I am having it check is that the property Description does not have the value "DESCRIPTION". When I run that check on a part where Description = "DESCRIPTION" (The check is for Description != DESCRIPTION), I get an error and am asked if I want to correct it. I fill in the value I want in the box, hit "Correct Selected" (or just hit "Correct Selected"). This deletes the property Description rather than changing the value as I had expected. Why is my property being deleted? How should I set up the design check so that I can make sure that someone did fill in a description rather than leaving the default value from the template?
Thanks,
Carrie
