Why am I locked out of revs that I already paid for?

In 2014 I bought SW 2014 for home use. I also purchased the service/support package from the VAR. During the following months I got the 2014 upgrades, and then the 2015 new release. Last fall my computer fried. I got a new one and reloaded SW , starting from the original 2014 installation. The software goes looking for the upgrades to 2014 (which I have paid for) and the upgrades for 2015 (which I also paid for) but because I'm not on a service agreement now I can't get the downloads. It seems to me that I should be able to get the upgrades/fixes that were available/released to me while I had the service contract and paid for them. I'm not looking for extras, just what I had coming when I first bought the product. I don't think it's ethical to require me to purchase the service contract (which was never used) and pay out \$1500 per year just to keep this platform running. I should have access to all the releases that came out when I first purchased the product, and all subsequent releases up to the one year anniversary date.
