In an assembly. In the previous release all I had to do was select a part, hold the control key, select a plane, then the mirror command and then press enter, enter. And I am finished. If I need an opposite hand check the box, select a part starter file, enter, enter, finished.
In 2010 it seems as though I have to choose next, next, next, and rotate the part around then place it where I want it. I never could get it to look the way it should. All I wanted was a copy mirrored symetrically about a plane. I use to be able to do this in seconds. Not any more. I waisted 15 minutes and never could get it to work. So I made a copy and mated it into location. Another 5 minutes down the drain. In my opinion it is broken. Unless I am missing somthing. Somebody please let me know.
If the supposed enhancements of a new release command take longer to exicute than the same command in the previous version . It is costing time which costs money. It is also very irritaing that you have no choice or other option.
The default options in the last release were just fine. Yes it might be nice to be able to rotate it also, but please dont force me to do it as the default. I am really hoping that someone can show me a setting or somthing I am missing.
Thanks All.
