Title says it all, but, we are currently using SW2017, have a HAAS cnc machine center and are looking to replace an older laptop that is used only for generating toolpaths for the cnc machine.

Curious what others are using, some of the folks that make laptops for these types of operations give very high end specs, and i am not sure that i need the super high end laptops.

So if a laptop meets SolidWorks specs, is that good enough, or should I spec one based on the type of CNC software, i.e. Mastercam, bobcad etc...
