Does anyone have experience with xPLM? I am a little confused about this software; is it a standalone PDM solution that integrates with solidworks and SAP or is it an extension to solidworks EPDM that provides the link between SAP and EPDM? Does xplm require EPDM?

Originally I thought xPLM was a complete standalone PDM solution that would compete with EPDM, in other words you would either purchase xPLM or EPDM but not both, but the more I research it appears that xPLM only provides the integration between SAP and EPDM.

Can anyone clarify this for me?
