Finally got 2016 to work, and it tells me I need to update my video driver.

So what is "error code 3" and how do I fix this?

***edit***  after an hour with nvidia, they concluded that this is caused by a "very old driver" yet it is the driver that solidworks said to install.

Nvidia's recommendation is to use the newest driver from their site, but the last time I used a new driver, it caused serious issues with solidworks.

If I don't want to use the newest driver, they said the only other solution is to completely reinstall Windows "as a troubleshooting step."
