I'm sorry for asking this cause I know its well addressed but I am getting nervous about buying a new laptop. The graphics card is where I am getting lost. I am running SW2014 sp4, I am doing small to very large assemblies with routing and sheet metal. No rendering and no fea in the foreseeable future. I am working for my self so I am wanting to buy something that will work for the next 4 years or so. My main question is how many gig on a graphics card do I need? I am looking at an NVIDIA quadro 3100 with 4gig ram. Do I need more? Do I need less? Have not found any recent benchmarks for laptop graphics cards and I do not fully understand how the intended use plays into the RAM.
