What are some tips for breaking into a Solidworks career?

I'm curious for some tips to land a job in the Solidworks world. I know one way would be to go get my Associates in drafting or even go back and get a degree in Mechanical Engineering, though I've been around manufacturing (Industrial Equipment) for almost 4 years now, I've fabricated and read drawings, have a pretty mechanical mindset and within the last 8 months I've purchased my own seat of Solidworks and am doing everything I can to learn everything there is. Getting certified is on my list and I understand the economy is still working it's way out of the pooper, though wondering if there are any thoughts or recommendations for landing an entry level position... ?SolidworksGeneral
