Where is the ability to make a weldment within an assembly so that users don't have to add yet another layer to their assembly detail?

While we all know of the ability to mix a Solidworks weldment cut-list and a Solidworks assembly BOM is "functional" it does nothing for EPDM users who rely on 1 BOM for their needs.  There is still no ability to have EPDM (a Solidworks product) read the Weldment feature for a standard bill.
