It has been a while since I used the View Mates command. Today when I used it (sw11 sp3) it did not display the common mates between two selected parts in bold font. It used to do this. Is this an "enhancement"? Here are my questions:
- Is the bold font for shared mates gone for good? Is there some replacement for that function? (they do not appear to always be listed first, plus the ground symbol mates are supposed to be listed first)
- With some selections one mate will be listed as a ground mate, but with other selections the same mate is not. There is only one fixed part in the assembly and nothing mated to planes. Should any mate to the only fixed part be considered a "path to ground"? Is there some solid criteria that SW uses for determining ground parts or the ground path?
Does anyone have any light to shed on how this tool is working?
