I have an assembly with two shrink fit joints that I would like to analyze contact pressures in the time domain during an impact load. For some reason one of the two shrink fit joints will not solve properly. I get a warning about a zero response (???) and after the assembly solves, one of the press fit joints shows no stress or deflection. Can anybody tell be the best setup to run a shrink fit joint in a nonlinear dynamic study? i.e. advanced contact detail, best solver to use, mesh quality, etc...
